~ Obituary ~

Ahmad had the spirit of a guardian, the strength of a lion, and a huge loving heart.

Charles Ahmad McCall, affectionately known to family and friends as Ahmad was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 28, 1981 to Marie E. McCall Whitmore and Charles E. McCall.

As a child, Ahmad was always eager to learn and try new things. This zeal allowed him to graduate early from West Florence High School, Florence, South Carolina.  Later, he furthered his education at Florence-Darlington Technical College and ultimately decided to serve our country in the United States Air Force.

As an Armed Forces member, Ahmad was stationed in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  As an Airman, he furthered his education at the community college of the Air Force and received certificates in Basic Electronic and Electronic Warfare/CCAF.  He also received military clarence to maintain the Electronic countermeasure systems in Air Force fighters jets; something he was very proud of.

Charismatic, confident, and cool, he commanded any room he entered from an early age.  He never met a stranger and his altruistic personality made him the type of man that would literally give another the shirt off his back.  He once took off  his own shoes on his walk home and gave them to a man that had no shoes.

Ahmad had an immense love for nature and all of its creatures.  He especially enjoyed the ocean, exploring the world, and basking in the earth’s beauty by taking long nature walks.

Ahmad leaves to cherish his loving memories ~ his parents: Charles E. McCall and Marie Whitmore both of Florence, SC; three sons: Charles William McCall of Pilot Point, TX, Julius Ahmad McCall and Stefan Edward McCall both of Albuquerque, NM; his grandmother: ArtencyStallworth of Greensboro, NC; his sisters: Barika Odessa Leftridge of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tonya McKoy of Orlando, FL, Chandrika McCall of Charlotte, NC and Keturah {Bill} Raabe of Greensboro, NC; one nephew: Gavin Leftridge; three nieces: Lakisha McDougald, Daisha Watson, and Jade McCall and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Son, even though you are absent from us, I know your soul is resting in Heaven and all of nature is under your feet.    Love Mom
