Vanessa Easterling Moore departed this life on Monday, January 13, 2020 in Columbia, South Carolina. Funeral services will be on Sunday January 19, 2020 at 12:00 pm Greater Outreach Ministries, 507 South Main Street, McColl, South Carolina.

Miss Vanessa “Nelp” Easterling Moore, daughter of the late Willie T. Easterling and Retha Lee Easterling was born on August 6, 1967 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. She resided in McColl,  South Carolina until her health failed her. The Lord called her home on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Magnolia Manor in Columbia, South Carolina.

She attended the public schools of New York, New York and McColl, South Carolina. Vanessa had a love for God and people. She never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. Vanessa rededicated her life back to the Lord, while hospitalized in Cheraw, South Carolina before entering Magnolia Manor.

Vanessa was preceded in death by grandparents: Willie Easterling, Bill Williams, Annie B. Jackson, Retha Williams and Willow Bell Easterling; father: Willie T. Easterling; uncles: Kent Williams, Leroy Williams, Eddie Easterling and Champ Easterling; aunt: Willie Mae Harbor and a grandson: James Easterling Jr. 

Vanessa leaves to cherish her memories ~ James “Mann” (Deara) of Memphis, TN; grandchildren: Tiana Easterling, Cassidy Easterling, Jai Marie Easterling, Jamie (Keoyka) Graham of Dillon, SC; her grandchildren: Ny’Corious McDougald, Skyla Stalk, Na’Zeon Singleton, Lilliona Singletary, Na’ Jada Graham; her mother: Retha Lee Easterling of McColl, SC; sisters: La’Toya (Keith) Easterling of McColl, SC; Sharon Gaubatz of Fayetteville, NC, Daisy (Brandon) Slay of Queens, NY;  Charllisa (Adrian) Sanders of Ft. Stewart, GA; brothers: Jermaine Gaubatz of Brookylyn, NY, Erving Simmons of Laurinburg, NC, La’Quan Easterling of Las Vegas, NV, Isaih Easterling of Laurinburg, NC; Willie T. Easterling Jr. (Stacey) of Seattle, WA, Andrew (Debbie) Easterling of McColl, SC; one uncle: Evers (Creola) Easterling of McColl, SC; uncles: Johnny ( Eunice) Williams of McColl, SC, Robert L. (Mae) Williams of Clio, SC; John Carry (Betty Joe)Williams of Tatum, SC; Charles (Cassandra) Williams of  Laurinburg, NC; Michael (Debra) Williams of Bennettsville, SC; one maternal aunt: Amanda (Dwayne) Jackson of Greensboro, NC; she had a sisterly relationship with all her Williams cousins and a sisterly bond with Brenda Butts and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
